IoTize Introduces Primers at Embedded World 2017
14 March 2017, Nuremberg, Germany – Today at the Embedded World exposition, IoTize SAS demonstrated its IoTize NFC/Bluetooth and NFC/Wi-Fi Primers for STM32 on the STMicroelectronics’ stand (4A-138). Embedded World provided a unique opportunity for users to preview the new tool that allows users to connect any STM32 application board to a Cloud-based service platform in just 5 minutes.
“Our new IoTize Primers are specifically conceived to help designers create IoT proof-of-concept (PoC) implementations rapidly on existing application hardware,” stated Francis Lamotte, IoTize President. “Through the PoC, designers can rapidly assess the potential of IoT connectivity with very little cost or risk,” explained Francis Lamotte.
The IoTize Primers offer qualified NFC, Bluetooth Smart (Low Energy) and Wi-Fi interfaces with embedded antennas. They support connection to the target STM32 via SWD (debug port) or secure S3P serial connection (on 2 GPIO pins). Primers connect to the Cloud/WAN gateway via smartphone and provide fundamental security features for controlling user access to target applications and data. IoT service prototyping is supported by an integrated, pre-provisioned free AWS Cloud environment that is dedicated to each module. In only 5 minutes, designers can connect the Primer to their STM32 and upload application data to the Cloud.
The IoTize Primers previewed at Embedded World are planned to have a recommended end-customer price under 39 Euros. The first IoTize NFC/Bluetooth Primers are scheduled for commercial availability in May 2017.
IoTize NFC/Bluetooth and NFC/Wi-Fi Primers can be seen at the Embedded World exposition in Nuremberg on the STMicroelectronics‘ stand 4A-138 from 14 to 16 March 2017.
About IoTize SAS
IoTize (www.iotize.com) is a French technology start-up based near Grenoble, a European hub for micro and nanotechnologies. In collaboration with industry-leading partners, IoTize designs and manufactures a range of wireless connectivity solutions for microcontroller-based embedded systems (TapNLink) and systems implementing any industry-standard system BUS (TapNPass). To meet the demands of diverse use cases in the Internet of Things (IoT), IoTize solutions integrate a range of wireless technologies ranging from Near Field Communications (NFC), Bluetooth and Wi-Fi to LPWAN technologies such as LoRA and SigFox. All IoTize solutions are designed for plug'n play integration into existing system designs thus reducing time-to-market and risks associated with migrating them to the IoT.
