How Does Image-based Telemetry Work ?

Capture – The module's camera captures a photo of the meter display, with built-in LED lighting to ensure dial rendering that is adequate for data extraction. The frequency of captures can be configured to optimize battery life or increase reading frequency.

Recognition – The device's onboard processor runs an energy-efficient algorithm to recognize the digits on the meter and transform these to easily transmittable data.

Transmission – Data is transmitted via LPWAN via protocols that may include LoRa, Sigfox, or Wireless M-Bus. Aqua meter can be configured to manage certificates, data and messaging format for any private or public cloud platform you choose.

NFC Interaction – On-site users can connect to AquaMeter using a dedicated smartphone app to configure and test the the device and report installation, paramters and location to the supervisory platform.
